Auto parts can be made of titanium alloy

The main automotive structural parts manufactured by titanium alloy are valve, spring and bearing, connecting rod, crankshaft, gearbox, steering rack and pinion of engine system,muffler and exhaust device of chassis system, wheel bushings and bearings of car body system, various half-shafts and fasteners.  Racing parts are already made largely of titanium, because racing is about winning and safety, regardless of cost.  

Automotive valves made of titanium alloy can not only reduce mass, prolong service life, but also improve reliability and save fuel.  The earlier use of titanium alloys, which were expensive to manufacture, was followed by the adoption of γ-Ti Al alloys, which increased the engine's Max speed by about 10%.  In recent years, some titanium producers have developed a number of cheaper titanium alloys for engine valves, and some are entering mass production.  Improving the wear resistance of titanium alloy for valve is a key technology.  It is one of the effective techniques to improve surface hardness and wear resistance to oxidize the surface, even if there is more oxygen in the solution.
