Jun 06, 2022
DAT57M vanadium free high strength Titanium Alloy developed by Datong Special Steel Co., Ltd. has been successfully registered into ASTM B348/B348M (Standard Specification for Titanium and Alloy Bars and) Billets) and the registration level is Grade41. DAT57M titanium alloy is composed of Ti-6Al-1Fe and belongs to α+β titanium alloy. Its specific gravity is 4.39, slightly lower than that of Ti-6Al-4V alloy 4.43. The tensile strength, fatigue strength and other mechanical properties as well as thermal forming and machining properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy are similar to those of Ti-6Al-4V alloy, and vanadium is not contained, which is expected to replace the ti-6Al-4V alloy widely used in the future.
