In 2021, China Produced 139,900 Tons Of Titanium Sponge, Accounting For 60% Of The Global Production

According to statistics, the domestic titanium sponge production in 2021 was 139,900 tons, a 13.8% increase year-on-year growth; The output of all kinds of titanium processing materials was 136,000 tons, up 40.1% year on year; Imported titanium sponge was 13,800 tons, year-on-year rises of 192.9%. It's amazing that the titanium industry has achieved such a rapid development in the context of sliding economic growth at home and abroad,the skyrocketing price of commodities including magnesium ingot, and the uncertain situation of the supply chain under the overall impact of the epidemic.  

According to data from the US Geological Survey, global titanium sponge production in 2020 was 210,000 tons, and global titanium sponge production capacity was 341,000 tons, up 11.8% year-on -year. It is expected that the global production of titanium sponge in 2021 is 230,000 tons, and China accounts for more than 60%, making China a real supplier of titanium sponge.China's production capacity of titanium sponge increased by 12% compared with 2019.China's titanium sponge production capacity is expected to reach 200,000 tons in 2021.The production capacity is still expanding in 2022.
