Holiday Notice

National Day is a public holiday in China,celebrated annually on October 1st to commemorate the establishment of the PRC on Oct 1st,1949.Nowadays,it has developed into a 7-day national holiday that usually starts on October 1st and ends on October 7th.The National Day Holiday is also known as a Golden Week in China,during which millions of Chinese may go traveling and have gatherings with family or friends,making it an extremely busy traveling season comparable to the Spring Festival,the most important national holiday in China.Festivities and concerts are usually held nationwide on this day with a military parade held in some years.

Over the last few years,due to the policies and measures imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19,there has been much less cross-city traveling and fewer festivities during the holiday.Let's just hope this situation will improve soon and we will get to enjoy a National Day Holiday as much as we want.
