With the development of titanium and titanium alloy metallurgical technology and scientific and technological progress, titanium and titanium alloys have broad application prospects in aerospace, chemical metallurgy, ships, automobiles, construction, medical equipment, and sporting goods. Figure 1 shows the cost structure of titanium alloy products given by Boeing Company of the United States. It can be seen from Figure 1 that the cost of titanium and titanium alloy products mainly comes from the links of raw materials, smelting and deformation processing. In order to realize the low cost of titanium alloy products, it is necessary to start from two aspects of raw materials and processing and manufacturing technology.

At present, the main ways to reduce the cost of titanium products are: replacing expensive alloying elements with cheap alloying elements to design alloy components, improving alloy processing properties, and designing preparation and processing processes.
