Pangang's 4 projects won the 2022 Metallurgical Science and Technology Award

On August 25th, it was learned from the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission that the Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards Committee recently awarded the 2022 Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards to 111 projects across the country, and four projects led by Pangang were on the list.Among them, the “Key technologies and applications for the green and efficient utilization of Panxi Vanadium Resources” project won the first prize.

The ”Key technologies and applications for the green and efficient utilization of Vanadium resources in Panxi“ project brings together the wisdom and power of Pangang, Chongqing University and Wuhan University of Science and Technology Scientific Research Institute. It is another concrete manifestation of Pangang's acceleration in building the ”source of original technology".The project lasted for more than 10 years from laboratory research, pilot trial to industrial application. It broke through the bottleneck of the green and efficient utilization of vanadium resources in Panxi. It originally proposed the clean vanadium extraction process of “calcification and roasting of vanadium slag—online circulation of ammonium medium”, and the green and efficient utilization system solution of vanadium resources in Panxi has been industrialized and applied.In addition, Pangang's “Key technologies and applications for the production of 100-meter-long heavy-duty steel rails for large-section continuous casting billet” project won the second prize, and the “Industrialization research on enhanced recovery technology and equipment for ultra-coarse and ultra-fine ilmenite in iron tailings” and “Research and application of common technologies for high-efficiency rolling of titanium and titanium alloy hot continuous rolling” project won the third prize.

It is understood that the Metallurgical Science and Technology Award is the highest science and technology award in China's metallurgical industry, and a review is organized once a year.
