I Introduction of Hypochlorous Acid Disinfectant

Hypochlorous acid water refers to an aqueous solution containing stable hypochlorous acid molecules in the original solution.It is a new kind of highly effective disinfectant.It is characterized by wide sterilization spectrum, strong killing power, high safety and good environmental protection.

I.I Physicochemical Property

Hypochlorous acid water is a colorless transparent liquid with a mild disinfectant smell. Its effective chlorine content is generally 50mg/L ~ 200mg/L [note: mg/L is equal to PPM, the same as below]. The pH value is 4.0 ~ 6.5, and the ORP is above 1040mV.The stability is good under the condition of room temperature, airtight and avoiding light, while under the condition of open and not avoiding light, it can decompose into oxygen, water and chloride ion by itself, so there is no harmful residue.

I.II Killing Effect on Microorganisms

Hypochlorous acid kills a variety of microorganisms, including bacterial propagules, viruses, fungi and spores.The suspension sterilization test showed that when the ratio of disinfectant to bacterial suspension was 100:1, with the effective chlorine content of 50mg/L in hypochlorous acid water ,the killing time was less than 15s for campylobacter, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Candida albicans and Gram-negative aerobic bacteria.;at room temperature 40℃, the killing time of spores of black variety of Aspergillus Niger and Bacillus subtilis was less than 30s.At the same room temperature, the hypochlorous acid water with effective chlorine content of 50mg/L was used to inactivate influenza virus and norovirus in 15s.The quantitative killing test by suspension method with organic matter added showed that the killing log value was greater than 5 when using 200mg/L of effective chlorine content of hypochlorous acid water againest the spores of black variety of Aspergillus Niger and Bacillus subtilis for 10min ~ 20min.

I.III  Mechanism of Killing Microorganisms

Hypochlorous acid is a small inorganic molecule, which can penetrate the cell wall and membrane of microorganism, destroy the protein, nucleic acid and other living materials of microorganism, and lead to the death of microorganism.

I.IV Factors Affecting the Disinfection Effect

The effect of hypochlorous acid disinfectant is affected by the amount of organic matter, the concentration of disinfectant and the temperature. and the sterilization effect is relatively low if there are many organics in the disinfection object system;The increase of disinfectant concentration and temperature can both enhance its sterilization ability.Under the condition of no addition of organic matter, suspension germicidal test showed that the hypochlorous acid disinfectant with effective chlorine content of 50mg/L had a killing rate of 99.999% or above on the bud of the black variety of subbacillus at 20℃ ~ 25℃ for 3min. At 40℃, the hypochlorous acid water with the same effective chlorine content achieved the same effect for only 30s. However, 60mg/L hypochlorous acid disinfectant can achieve the same killing effect at 35℃ for 1min.

I.V Scope of Application

Hypochlorous acid water usually be used for disinfection of medical or health institutions, Most of public places, food processing, restaurant, family and other occasions, many objects, including endoscope, surgical instruments; skin and mucosa; Disinfection  for air, hands, surface and fabric, fruits and vegetables, tableware, secondary water supply facilities and so on.

I.VI Usage

1) Disinfection of endoscopic/surgical instruments.It can be cleaned or disinfected by ordinary immersion.Ordinary immersion: Before disinfection, the objects shall be soaked and cleaned with alkaline cleaning agent or enzymatic lotion, rinsed with flowing water and drained. At room temperature, the objects shall be immersed in 200mg/L hypochlorous acid water disinfectant solution for 20min, then rinsed with sterile water and wiped dry with sterile cotton cloth .When the endoscope is used to clean and disinfect the machine with ultrasonic vibration or manual washing to strengthen the previous process, the process is as follows: after the organic matter is removed with clean water, the special cleaning agent is used to wash 2min, pure water for 2min, 200mg /L hypochlorous acid for 3min.

2) Disinfection of sore/wound surface. Use 100mg/L hypochlorous acid water disinfectant solution. Exposed sore/wound surface: After dewatering, spray the wound and the immediate surrounding area as much as possible until liquid covers the wound evenly.2 times to 3 times a day;                      Score or wound dressing: Match the dressing cycle. Each time dressing changing, you can first spray the dressing that is soaked with the wound surface for easy removal. Then use the product with sterile cotton balls or medical gauze to clean necrotic tissues and secretions; Apply wet spray on one side of the dressing in contact with the wound to the affected area. During the interval between dressing changes, this product can also be sprayed directly onto the dressing dressing according to the humidity of the wound.

3) Disinfection of skin mucosa. Apply 100mg/L of hypochlorous acid water disinfectant solution to the desired area (inflammation and ulcer surface) and the adjacent surrounding area in sufficient quantity until the liquid covers it evenly; Or wipe with a sterile cotton swab or gauze soaked in the product.

4) Air disinfection. Use 100mg/L hypochlorous acid water disinfectant solution. Eliminate the pollution source, close the doors and Windows, and use a special aerosol atomizer to spray the original liquid at the dosage of 5ml/m into the air by hand. Spray uniformly from inside to outside, from top to bottom, from left to right. The effect time is 30min, and then it can be put into use. [Note: It can be used for dynamic elimination without clearing the land for human and livestock]

5) Hand cleaning and disinfection. Use 150mg/L of hypochlorous acid water disinfectant solution. Sanitary hand disinfection: take sufficient amount of disinfectant to completely cover or immerse the sanitized part of the hand for 1min; Surgical hand disinfection: apply an appropriate amount of disinfectant evenly on the hands, forearms and 1/3 under the upper arms for 3 minutes after surgery.

6) Disinfection of surfaces and fabrics. After removing the contaminant, wipe and spray the object or surface to be disinfected with 100mg/L disinfectant solution, or soak the fabric with the same concentration of disinfectant for 5min.then naturally dried or drained.

7) Disinfection of secondary water supply facilities. After cleaning and decontamination, 80mg/L of disinfectant stock solution is evenly sprayed on the inner surface of secondary water supply and storage facilities from left to right, top to bottom and from inside out with high-pressure water gun, leaving no dead Angle. After spraying, put the hole cover for 5min ~ 10min, then discharge clean disinfectant and open the inlet valve to store water.

8) Disinfection of fruits, vegetables and utensils. Injected fruits, vegetables and utensils into 100mg/L of original disinfectant solution after cleaning, and then drained for 5 minutes. For utensils made of other metals except for stainless steel, rinse with clean water after disinfection.

I.VII Stability, Safety and Damage to Objects

1) Stability. There are differences in the stability of different concentrations or formulations and products produced by different enterprises; Generally, under closed and dark conditions, the decrease rate of effective chlorine stored at a constant temperature of 54℃ for 14 days is less than 10%, indicating that it is valid for 12 months at room temperature.

2) Security. Acute transoral toxicity is actually non-toxic; Acute inhalation toxicity is actually non-toxic; Acute eye irritation, multiple complete skin irritation, and primary damaged skin irritation all showed no irritation. No skin allergy was observed (i.e. sensitization rate was 0);The toxicity of chromosome damage was negative.

3) Damage to objects. Hypochlorous acid water has no corrosion effect on stainless steel, slight corrosion effect on copper and aluminum, moderate corrosion effect on carbon steel. In order to avoid damage to metal products caused by long-term use, articles made of potentially corroded metal should be cleaned with tap water or sterile water according to the requirements of the disinfection level.

II Product Overview

RC-02 household hypochlorous acid machine is a new type of equipment used for on-site production of hypochlorous acid solution, suitable for the use of family and office. Electrochemical activation (ECA) technology is used to produce hypochlorous acid solution suitable for household disinfection through electrolytic generator of micro-porous nano membrane using only salt and water as raw materials. There is no potential harm in the whole production process.

VII Operation Instruction

1) After opening the package, carefully check whether the appearance is damaged due to transportation. If there is serious damage, please do not use. Please contact the sales customer service to replace the machine in time.

2) If you have a water purifier installed, you can use the 1/4" Y-Branch pipe（picture 1） to share the water inlet port，If you do not have a water purifier, you will need to use a 1/2" turn 1/4" valve(picture 2,customer purchase)

3) After the water connection, first open the inlet and outlet valves, and then open the main inlet valves to check whether there is leakage in the whole machine. If so, please check the leakage and contact customer service. If in good condition, please clean the internal pipeline with water for 2 minutes before normal use.

4) Boot operation steps are as follows: Open the upper black salt barrel cover, in the soft water of sand or salt powder (salt water barrels of the largest volume of 300 ml, calculated according to grams salt brine concentration = X/(X + 300)) - - open the inlet valve - - pressing salt barrel water switch (water content can need according to oneself the brine concentration and output control) - > open acid and alkaline outlet valve - to wait for two outlet have the water out, measuring knob to open the brine (adjustable size, the maximum continuous 6 min) - > - > open power panel switch ON/OFF button (remote control, mobile phone APP, power supply detailed attached,(At this moment, the machine is in normal working condition.

5) The steps for shutdown are as follows: turn OFF the ON/OFF button ON the power panel, turn OFF the brine metering knob, wait for the outlet water flow for about 10 seconds, and then close the main inlet valve. The acid or alkali outlet valve may not be closed.

6) In the process of use, if the salt bucket solution has been used up, it is necessary to add salt and inject water again, and the operation steps should be compared with the instructions in point 4 :(please pay attention to the sequence of operation steps, otherwise the electrolytic generator will reduce its life if it is powered on for a long time in the state of no water).

VIII Notices

1) You can use soft water salt or table salt, as shown in the figure, the dissolution rate of soft water salt grains (each grain weighs about 9g) is slow. If you use edible salt, add salt first and then fill with water, which will help the table salt fully dissolve.

2) Do not turn on the power before you see the water coming out of the outlet, otherwise it will shorten the service life of the machine or even damage the machine.

3) Try not to run for a long time with the maximum power, easy to affect the service life of the machine.
