Summarize of titanium material

The ratio of tensile strength σb to density ρ(σb/ P =200), which is almost the highest among all metal materials, due to the excellent mechanical and physical properties of titanium (titanium and titanium alloy).  

At the same time, it has excellent corrosion resistance, titanium in strong corrosive environment shows excellent chemical stability and has a strong self-passivation ability in electrolyte (water), so that the application and promotion of titanium material faster than many other metals.  

Generally speaking, industrial pure titanium because of its corrosion resistance is better than α,β or α+β titanium alloy,it has a wider range of application, strength is not as high as β phase or α+β phase titanium alloy, but has good plasticity, easy to process and form, therefore, industrial pure titanium is the most commonly used material in titanium vessels.
