Recently, the 2021 China Baowu Technology Innovation Major Achievement Award was announced, and a total of 45 achievements were awarded. Among them, Yunnan Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. won the second prize for "Key Technology of Design, Manufacturing and Melting of Large-scale Electron Beam Cooling Bed Furnace".
In the field of titanium processing, the "melting-casting" of sponge titanium into large-size titanium and titanium alloy ingots is an important basis for all subsequent titanium processing. Only the chemical composition has no segregation and uniform structure, and high and low density inclusions are few. Large-size high-quality titanium and titanium alloy ingots can be processed into various titanium and its alloys with high-quality and stable batch performance. Compared with the traditional vacuum consumable arc smelting method, the electron beam cooling bed smelting technology shows outstanding advantages, but because only the United States, Germany and the CIS countries can produce large-scale electron beam cooling bed smelting furnaces, my country has not mastered its manufacturing Technology can only rely on imports, and the rapid development of China's titanium industry.
Therefore, with the support of the national international scientific and technological cooperation project, in April 2014, Kunming Iron and Steel Holdings Co., Ltd., Yunnan Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. and Kunming University of Science and Technology launched large-scale electronic The design and manufacture of beam cooling bed furnaces and the research and development of key melting and casting technologies, the introduction of its large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnace integrated design and key component manufacturing technology, breaking through the bottleneck of the design and manufacturing technology of large electron beam cooling bed furnaces, and developing electron beams The cooling bed furnace smelting chamber, side feeding chamber, drawing room, melting module, vacuum system, electrical control system, cooling and auxiliary systems and other key components, have mastered the key technology of large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnace manufacturing. In July 2016, with the unremitting efforts of the scientific research team, the first domestically produced large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnace was completed and put into operation in Panzhihua Yunti Industrial Co., Ltd. The casting index has exceeded the level of imported cooling bed furnaces from Ukraine, achieving large-scale electron beam cooling. The automatic control system of the bed furnace is independently developed and the large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnace is independently designed and manufactured independently. It can use a large proportion of the smelting material to smelt ingots with various end shapes.
This achievement has obtained 13 authorized invention patents, 3 utility models, published 8 academic papers, and obtained 4 computer software copyrights. The implementation of this project broke the foreign technology blockade, and mastered the key technology of integrated design and manufacturing of large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnaces with independent intellectual property rights for the first time in China, making my country the fourth capable of independently producing large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnaces. The country has significantly reduced manufacturing costs, filled the gap in domestic large-scale vacuum titanium smelting equipment, improved the technical level of my country’s titanium industry, promoted the technological progress of the titanium industry, promoted the leap-forward development of my country’s titanium industry, and improved Scientific and technological competitiveness, broad prospects for promotion and application, and significant economic and social benefits. At present, Yuntai has 5 large-scale electron beam cooling bed furnaces (3 of which are independently developed and manufactured), with a production capacity of 17,000 tons of titanium ingots and 20,000 tons of titanium materials, which provides an important guarantee for the high-quality development of my country's titanium industry.
Yuntai will further strengthen technological innovation, accelerate the construction of large-scale titanium alloy shell furnace and ultra-high-speed rotating electrode high-quality titanium alloy ball powder machine, help product structure adjustment and new product research and development, and accelerate Yuntian equipment and technology. High level.
