As a raw material element for making titanium screws, titanium is an active metal.Titanium screw has better flexibility and oxidation resistance than traditional stainless steel.  

It is widely used in various industries. Compared with ordinary stainless steel screws,titanium screws have a stronger compressive ability under high pressure. Therefore, titanium alloy screws will be used in aerospace as the connectors.

Advantages of titanium screws:

1,Low density and high intensity:The density of titanium metal is 4.51 g/cm3, higher than aluminum and lower than steel, copper and nickel, but the specific strength is the best among the metals.

2,Corrosion resistance:Titanium is a very active metal with low equilibrium potential and high thermodynamic corrosion in medium.  In fact titanium is very stable in many medium,it is corrosion-resistant under the condition of oxidation, neutral and weak reduction.

3,Good heat resistance:The new titanium alloy can be used for a long time at temperatures of 600℃ or higher.

4,Good low temperature resistance:Low temperature titanium alloys such as TA7 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn), TC4(Ti-6Al-4V) and Ti-2.5Zr-1.5Mo,their strength increase with decreasing temperature, but the plasticity changes little.Good ductility and toughness at low temperature of -196-253℃, it can avoid metal cold brittleness making it the ideal material for low temperature containers, storage tanks and other equipment.  

5,Strong anti-damping performance:Compared with steel and copper, titanium has a longer vibration attenuation time when subjected to mechanical and electrical vibration.  

6,No magnetic, non-toxic:Titanium is a non-magnetic metal and will not be magnetized in a large magnetic field. It has a good compatibility with human tissues and blood and well used in the medical field.  

7,The tensile strength is close to its yield strength:This performance of titanium shows that its yield strength ratio (tensile strength/yield strength) is high,the plastic deformation of metal titanium material is poor when forming . Due to the large ratio of the titanium yield limit to the elastic modulus, the rebound ability of titanium is large. 

8,Good heat exchange performance:Although the thermal conductivity of titanium metal is lower than carbon steel and copper, the wall thickness can be greatly reduced due to the excellent corrosion resistance of titanium, and the heat transfer mode of the surface and steam is drip condensation, which reduces the heat resistance,so that the heat transfer performance of titanium is significantly improved.

9,Low elastic modulus:The elastic modulus of titanium is 106.4Gpa at room temperature, which is 57% than that of steel.
